June Specials…

Well, I promised to post new specials this week, so here they are:

As part of the Kamehameha Day celebration, let’s do 11% off all things Hawaiian!

Check back on Monday for additional Kamehameha Day specials.

We missed the actual (63rd) anniversary of D-Day, but we still have a D-Day themed special –> 6.3% off all Bloodaxe WWII figures (OK, 6.3% so an odd discount, so lets just round up to 7%).

Next, I’d like to reminder (or point out to) you about a super discount on 30mm Napoleonic Cavalry. Pre-order figures (cast in new production molds) for $2.50 (a $1.25 discount)… See the news story below for figure listing and additional details.

Well, that wraps up the June Specials.

Operation Hoof Mold…

OK, so it was a silly title – but it does sound more interesting than: 30mm Napoleonic Cavalry…

I’ve been fighting the 30mm Napoleonic cavalry molds for a good 4 years now, and I’ve finally decided it was time to correct the situation!

I’ve decided to replace all of the molds used for the casting of 30mm Napoleonic cavalry. This won’t be a small project, but it needs to be done, so we will be biting the bit, and getting it done.

A quick look tells us that there are 45 catalog entries for 30mm Napoleonic cavalry. We do know that some of these are duplicate catalog numbers or that multiple casting numbers are really the same figure (never could figure out Jacks method for numbering his models), so our actual count of individual models will be something less than 45. In addition to the models listed in the current figure listings, there is some number of unlisted models – I’ll work to add as many of these unlisted models to the production molds as I can…

We’ll do our part – making new molds, so we can supply you with higher quality castings in a more time efficient manner. Now, here is where you can help: To (help) finance this project we will be offering ALL 30mm Napoleonic Cavalry castings at a special ‘pre-order’ discount price of $2.50 each – that is a discount of $1.25 (based on current pricing for 30mm Cavalry castings). Discount price will remain in effect until all currently listed castings have been remolded

Note: Should it be determined that a specific casting cannot be remolded the casting will be removed from production until such time that it can be remolded. This removal will also remove the casting from the pre-order listing (refunds will be issued as required).

We will ship the pre-orders as quickly as we can, but you should allow at least 2 weeks for mold making and production.

Presented below is a listing of the currently offered 30mm Napoleonic cavalry castings. Should you wish to pre-order any of these castings drop us a line (sales@historifigs.com) and let us know. Pre-ordered castings will receive priority in the re-molding process…

Time for the June News…

May was a busy month for us, now that June is here and things have quieted down a bit. Maybe June will be the month we can catch up on our releases.

May brought some new 40mm re-releases; June should have some more 40mm re-releases. Also slated for June are some 54mm ACW re-releases.

Last June we brought you the Blasted Planets line of miniatures. Our little tornado and cleanup kind threw things off schedule, so we just never got caught up on this project. I have the space hobbits nearly ready, just need to correct one nagging problem with the heavy weapons figure and then these will be ready for production. Our goal for the Blasted Planets line is to release the Space Hobbits and the Gulay Gorod in June.

I’m trying my hand at some classic toy soldier style 54mm figures, if these come out as well as I hope they do, I’ll add them to the production schedule. More on this project as things progress – I’m even slower at sculpting than I am at painting, so this one may take a while.

Work on my n-gauge ancient Egyptian army has resumed and it is progress fairly well. I still need to determine who they will fight, feel free to send suggestions for an opposing army. I’ve also started on new Hawaiian armies. I am doing a pair of smaller armies in n-gauge and then two larger forces in 15mm. The 15mm troops will be used in one of my Free-moved Timed-move war games (as will the n-gauge Egyptians). I hope to have the Hawaiians ready for a game in August.

The 20mm Austrians (Napoleonic Wars) have made it to the top of the pile, so work is beginning on new molds and stock lists for these figures. Look for a pre-production offering of these later this month (pre-orders help us justify the costs of new molds, etc.)

Look for more news and new specials next week.

PS. Look out, I hear that there are zombies on the loose…

King Kamehameha Day, 2007

On June 11th 2007, HistoriFigs will honor King Kamehameha I with our very own King Kamehameha Day celebration…

Watch this website for more details!

Isn’t it time you thought about building your own Hawaiian Army?
We produce the original (Bloodaxe) 15mm Hawaiians as well as the only (HistoriFigs) Hawaiians in 10mm…

The name Kamehameha (pronounced kuh-may-ha-may-ha) means “the one set apart.”

New Postage Rates…

Well, I broke down and updated our postage rates. The USPS isn’t as kind as they used to be, rate-wise at least.

Our chart does not match the USPS chart exactly. I’ve done some combining of zones and rounding of prices. It should all balance out in the long run.

As always, we will do out best to get you the lowest shipping rate possible, and will even refund if you over pay for shipping (well, a refund within reason – meaning more than $1.00 over paid).

For our new rates please visit our shipping information page: historifigs.com/shipping.htm
