New Monthly Drawing : Mike’s Grab Bag

What is the “Mike’s Grab Bag” drawing all about?

Well, every month (OK, everyday) there is a bunch of “stuff” on my desk that just isn’t being used. This stuff might be figures or it might be books or maybe some one-off conversions or maybe a new sculpt. I really don’t know what I’ll find on my desk – it won’t be junk, I wouldn’t do that too you, but you never know what it might be!

Here is how it will work, starting in November, on the last day of the month, I’ll clear off my desk and put together that month’s grab bag. Then we will round up the names of everyone to whom we shipped orders as well as the names of any open orders and toss them all into a hat. From there we will draw at least one name each month and that lucky winner will receive the grab bag for the month (if the is a lot of “stuff” on my desk, we may make up two or more grab bags).

There you are, easy as pie – I get a clean desk and some lucky customer gets some “free stuff”.

Announcing The Morschauser Files…

There has been much interest in the war game related writings of Joseph Morschauser, as such I’ve been doing a bit of re-arranging of forums and topics on the Table Top Talk website.

The result of all this shuffling has been the creation of a new forum: The Morschauser Files

Here is where I am collecting all posts concerning Joe and his writings. Please feel free to drop by and browse (more articles in the coming days) and chat about the writings of Joseph Morschauser.

To get you started, here is a link to The Morschauser Files

Wargamer’s Corner Updates

We’ve been busy adding to the Wargamer’s Corner section of the website. Some recent additions include:

“Bloodybacks” (the rules we use for AWI games in 30mm), “The Free Move – Timed Move – Ancients War Game” (written with Scruby’s 20mm Ancients figures in mind) and Jack Scruby’s “Basic War Game Rules” (N-gauge with no bookkeeping).

There is plenty more to come, so be sure to check in often.

New Scruby Ancients Price Sheet…

We have put together a new price / figure listing sheet for both the N-Gauge and 20mm Scruby Ancients figures.

You can get your own copy by sending $0.50 (to cover postage) or when you purchase a copy of the booklet “Rules for the Free Move – Timed Move War Game – Ancient War Game”. The cost of this rules booklet is $5.00 plus postage.

Update…

Finally, we have internet connectivity and boy is my mailbox full!
I’m working through the messages – lots of spam in there too – but I’m going slow so I don’t delete a real message by mistake. I should be caught up by the end of the week.

In other news, the construction at our house (new workshop, office and game room) has really impacted our productivity, so we are even slower than slow 🙁

We might shift focus to the workshop, so I can get things jump started – that would be very nice so I’ll see what we can do about that.

On other fronts, with cold weather setting in, I’m in the mood to write and do other editing type things, so work is resuming on Fire and Charge as well as several other rules and publishing projects – be sure to check the Table Top Talk website for some new articles (from May 1964 issue of TTT).

As soon as I have a chance to weigh up some figures, we will be setting a new price on the 15mm ACW offerings. This is a limited line, but I think that we can price these figures very close to the N-gauge offerings! So, check back next week, by then I should have some new prices set for these.
