Last week HistoriFigs HQ was hit by a nasty virus. As such we didn’t get nearly as much done as we had planned…
Alison continued with her casting projects (orders and a Resistant Roosters production run). By the end of the week she was only about a day and a half behind schedule, so not too bad.
I finished up a few custom projects (one which was problematic, but on the bright side the problems allowed me to solve a few nagging mold making problems) and closed out the week with some production work. All of the photos that were due to be posted last week will be shot and posted later this week.
Later this week we will also have two new releases in the Blasted Planets line – the Animal Guys are ready as is the first batch of Fin Head Aliens (The Fin Heads will be released in two or three batches). As soon as I have some pictures, we will make the official release announcement.
My fun project for the weekend was my 10mm speed painting project. I finally got a start on painting some American Infantry (Scruby N-gauge WWII, North Africa). So far things are looking good for this project. The hardest thing is waiting for the base coat to dry! If all goes well, I should be able to knock out infantry figures in batches of 100 in very little time. They will be good enough for my needs, and that is all that I am after with this project. After I see how this first batch goes, I’ll decide my next steps. Ideally I’ll launch a project that will allow me to build 2 battlegroups, for use with the Blitzkrieg Commander rules, by the first weekend in March…
More later this week.
